2 Prof Kings at Liverpool in the 60s/70s. AS King, Anatomy, & JOL King, as above, but the latter was usually known as Jole!! Happy memories, especially of final yr revue Christmas 1969 with a very irreverent Carol!!

Simple, just have a completely illegible signature - I use two names and one signature as its just a bunch of squiggles that can't be read either way!

I tried to keep my maiden name but found it all a bit too complicated to bother. As has been said, having a cheque in one name and a bank account in another just makes life more stressful than I needed. But if you are happy to cope with the odd little issue, there is absolutely no reason you can't keep any name you choose!

Hi,

I got married in August and have absolutely no intention of changing my name professionally! My mother, a GP, practices under her maiden name and has done for over 30 years without any issues at all.

Our clients use our first names, so wouldn't be an issue here. I'll shut up now and leave others to give you a sensible answer. On call and gf out at book club so rather bored this evening!

I've kept my maiden name - it's what everyone knows me by professionally and I like being able to separate my work and personal life completely. Plus it makes it harder for nutty clients to find me. It does upset banks though if you have accounts in both names.

May I ask [as a bloke, so don't understand these things] why you would want to? Suppose if your 'known' in your maiden name?
