Happy new year, Hope 2011 is prosperous and idiot free year for all of you and especially warm wishes to all those that contributed and read to the citalopram thread and to anyone that is in distress or anguish just remember other people have been there too, and it is possible to get better, be happier etc sometime all it takes is one leap of faith and open up to someone.

Clive: Don't you love it when they wait 'till the last minute? It's the main reason bank holidays frustrate me - love the time off but hate that everyone suddenly remembers the animals they've been ignoring at home. :/

I must be getting old.....

Had one glass of wine with dinner then fell asleep, waking about 11.30pm just in time to see in "the bells" with Phil and Aly on Scottish TV.

Then went to bed, happy that I would at least have an uninterrupted night's sleep and a lie in.

Happy New Year to everyone on Vetsurgeon.org, looking forward to continued debate and expansion of the mind in 2011!

I'm seeing in the New Year on call - no doubt a reflection of many nights on call to come in 2011!

I hope those of you not working make the most of your night of freedom and have a few drinks for the rest of us!

I would like to wish everyone a happy new year too. What new year resolutions do you all have?

I have just finished the last shift of 2010 with a load of brainless idiots; in the last hour I have seen 3 patients that have all been ill for over a week and need hospital care rolling in at after 6pm on new years eve; anorexic rabbit with bad teeth and abscessation needs fluids and syringe feeding; dog vomiting 1 week painful abd suspect FB or pancreatitis needs rads, bloods and, IVFT; dog having seizures on and off all week and now disorientated and hyperaesthetic. All bounced to the OOH provider I'm afraid. I hope people are more sensible in 2011, but I doubt it.
