The starting price for the Times is only £55 but I suppose that doesn't allow one to give much information.

Is it just me, or is that a bit, errrm, expensive? [/quote]

Depends on the size of your advert, rather than the complexity of design or whether or not it is boxed. Still, my first thought was that it is an awful lot of money for a job advert. Particularly when you think that print journals no longer have the monopoly in terms of giving you a platform on which to advertise.

For the moment, print journals probably do have higher readership numbers than online. But the more of you that remember to ALWAYS post any vacancies you have on VetSurgeon.org, the more veterinary surgeons will use it to find jobs, the more of you that will post ads, the more that will come to find a job, and so on, and so on, and so on.

What I am trying to say is that even if you don't get a response to your ad on VetSurgeon (and I know people have had responses), it's still worth posting, because you are helping to build a resource that is and always will be free for the profession.

May not be a factor, depending on who you're looking to recruit, but something to bare in mind. I think the online part of Vet Record jobs has been revamped recently, is it any cheaper just to advertise there?

Re: Advertising

Far too expensive.

Re: Advertising

The distribution and general management of the VR appear to have changed hands recently; have the advertising rates increased as a result? The VR seems to be packed with adverts anyway so I don't suppose they will be the least bit ruffled by any comments here.
