This little chap obviously didn't like the snow, and hopped into the open door at Pets at Home this week. He has been in the store for a few days, and in spite of a few attempts to show him the outside world, he seems much happier to flutter about inside and "assist" the cleaners mopping up various grains and seeds from burst bags in the store.

In fact when I opened the roller door at the back today, and he saw the return of the snow, he turned and flew the other way!

I make them from the ground upwards, like you'd make a snowman. In all bar one I've worked by myself, so it can take ages for the bigger ones, gathering all the snow!

If we lived somewhere colder it would be easier because I could start with a block and carve it down, rather than building it up.

Missed this thread when it was relevant but wanted to say my kids remembered Laura's snow animals from last year and kept bugging me to check to see if she's don'e any more this year! They were thrilled when I showed them her piccies just now. My 9 year old asks if she can do a dolphin next time it snows!

Good clippers, clear id markings, can be done but only if someone else is writing down the id and measurements. Otherwise takes too long - about 45 seconds!!!
