I attended a 'clinical coach' course in August - it was suggested then that the system would be in place for when our student started

Re: Nurse training - NPL system

In Scotland, both Telford & Barony are up & running with the NPL - seems to be working well at the moment. Difficult for clinical coaches to get time to log all the demonstrations if the student has been in practice for a while but once thats done, students should be able to whizz through it.

Re: Nurse training - NPL system

We have been using NPL since April with our degree students from Harper initially as a trial for RCVS. Our FE student is at Myerscough at moment so will find out what they are doing as apparently we have to use them for her NPL and Harper for the others and it isn't sure whether Myerscough will need to visit as well as Harper. Judy Dugmore or possibly Dugdale at RCVS seems to be the contact Harper use for advise It seems odd that they havent registered them yet, Not sure we will train anymore FE studfents too expensive and too long

Re: Nurse training - NPL system

I am just about finished 4 week block and dont have my NPL yet, we were told we would have to wait untill our whole class was registered with the RCVS before we would be able to access it.
