Black & white, probably called Lucky!
I scanned it and found it was microchipped. No hits on Anibase or Petlog so we phoned them. He was already recorded as deceased! The address is quite local but the

Re: Can a cat die twice?

it shouldn't happen at a vets

Re: Can a cat die twice?
"Just 'phoning to let you know that your cat is still dead"

I know lots of you are telling me to phone but my gut feeling is that Malcolms comment sums it up!!! At the moment the combination of my cowardice and the reality check of a brother that had a heart attack 24 hours ago means some things are possibly best left unsaid!!!

Oh by the way brother is fine and will be home tomorrow so I will enjoy the humour of the situation with the cat rather than worry about it

If they're the kind to bury their pet- cremated or otherwise- then I think they have the right to know if they've buried the wrong one.

Or perhaps they registered the cat as dead because it had been missing for a long time, and they gave up hope of it ever returning. At least now they might get closure.

Re: Can a cat die twice?
Definitely phone them, please
