Would appreciate opinions, thanks!

Re: What do you feed you own dog?
then business as usual!
I'm betting there was more 'business' than usual!

Whilst still in Oz, we went out one night and the dog food bin had had its lid left off by accident. Came back 4 hours later to find at least 7 GSD size piles of poo around the place and 1 very very full looking dog! She literally must have filled up, shunted one out the back, filled up again and so on like a doggy git conveyer belt! She only weighs 5kg! There was more poo than dog!

Re: What do you feed you own dog?
This will be of no help to you whatsoever, but I am so glad I have a cross breed! Little Ozzie Silky crossed with a Maltese (I think!). Found her as a stray in Oz and ended up bringing her back to the UK with me. She will eat anything (and I mean ANYthing) not your usual fussy terrier type! And nothing seems to upset her tummy. She ate 6 doughnouts once..........

Whilst I was looking after my mum's dog, a little collie cross, she got hold of and ate the best part of a pack of 48 wheatabix, dry. Starved her for 24hrs, then business as usual!

whilst my 11yo collie cross has horrendous ibd and can eat nothing but hypoallergenic, and the lab eats everything and anything!

Re: What do you feed you own dog?
He's been on Burns for several years now & doing very nicely, no deterioration compared to z/d etc. Had to work a bit to keep condition on him in the last yr but he's 10.5yrs now. The Burns controls his skin + GI issues pretty well. I use the venison or duck - burns + burgess both do venison based dried treats (ears, heart, tongue, paddywack etc) and there is a dried duck breast treat at Pets at Home so he can still have his chewies and training treats (I'm well practiced at venison liver cake made with rice or potato flour) so I can treat him like my other dog. Seems to work very well, only have upsets if he scrounges.

Re: What do you feed you own dog?

Thank you,

Was thinking about putting her on the RCW GSD diet as its basically very similar to the RCW skin support but cheaper!! Been thinking about Burns too though. Started adding Viacutin to her diet at moment anyway.

Re: What do you feed you own dog?

Burns.

I went all over http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/ and tried mine on Orijin and Barking Heads as well, but eventually came back to Burns. They like it, it might not be as high in meat as some would like but it's got nothing nasty in it and what comes out is always easy to pick up!

I know of quite a few dogs with 'sensitive stomachs' who do well on it too.
