I use Firefox for the practice management system and IE for personal use. At times they are both horrendously slow and I attributed it to overload on BT's antiquated copper wires and exchanges. I then discovered the nurses were logging in to facebook at reception and leaving it on - apparently it is renowned for slowing things down.

Using firefox - never any problems with vetsurgeon.org specifically.

[/quote] We had an tech issue early last week which slowed the server down for a few hours. But otherwise, the server has been running fine. I'm not getting any delay on posting. A slow status bar doesn't necessarily indicate a server issue. Can also be a bandwidth problem, either on your own network, or on the ISP's.

No, only on vetsurgeon.org, the status bar sits there saying 'waiting for www.vetsurgeon.org' for quite long periods, which is why I wondered whether anyone else had similar issues.

Use both IE and firefox - no issues. Is it just on vetsurgeon or is it happening on other sites as well? Could be you have a problem with some spyware..

I use Firefox and Google Chrome and am happy with both; no noticeable slowness with Vetsurgeon.org. Any occasional general slowness is due to overload on my bandwidth or other problems with my ISP. It does pay though to keep both updated and both can be a bit lax about notifying updates so you need to check yourself.
