I've added the headbang one as 'Frustration'. Would like to add others, but we are restricted on this site by size of smiley, which must be 19px by 19px (actually, not really a restriction - bigger than that can make the forum a bit of a mess).

In the case of the headbanger, I redrew / resized it (). The others wouldn't work resized (e.g. 'Thank You' would become illegible).

I must admit that I have not seen 'Chad' for many years but he enjoyed a tremendous vogue during WW2 when a certain type of black, rather wry, humour was very necessary for morale. What added to it was that, although some people suspected, nobody would say just how Chad originated because RADAR was then very hush-hush. The semi-official line for the success of night radar was that fighter pilots were fed carrots to improve the production of rhodopsin (spelling?) and consequently their night sight. Many kids of that era were then put off carrots for life by being practically force fed them in the diet; I still cannot enjoy carrot soup!

Chad was a cartoon figure created from a combination of electrical symbols during WW2. It depicted a long-nosed face with a wink peering over a wall and the accompanying caption "What no...............(whatever)..? I hope that Clive can find one to insert in a post, I am not sure that I can. Perhaps Wiki has one.

Unable to find good examples so far, but will keep looking. They were popular when I was at school in the 70's
