Sorry - I didn't mean to suggest you were. But you'd be surprised how often people who are much more intelligent than I am ask what seem like rather silly questions! It's usually that they've read something in a hurry and missed something.

Anyway, the answer to your question is no, not at the moment. The best I can offer is the 'posts I have not read' in the right hand margin. But that only takes you to a list of threads - you do still have to find where you were in the thread.

I'll do a bit of work to see whether we can't add this as a new feature. Adding stuff to this platform/system is a bit of a difficult call for me at the moment, because we are developing an even more advanced system behind the scenes!

Thanks Niall (pauses between munches on lettuce) I'll admit typing is a bit tricky at times, the keys are too close together to be tortoise friendly.

I think you're highly intelligent - there are not many tortoises who could express themselves as well as you do, most can't even grasp basic keyboard skills .

This is something that I have looked for aswell. It's very useful to be able to go back to a thread that you have read completely a few days before and click a button which takes you to the first post that has been posted since you last looked (yeah, ie the first unread post - keep it simple Niall!).

Hi Martin

If you are looking at the list of forum headings, you click the forum title for the first post in a thread, or 'latest post'.

If you are reading a thread, and want to go back to the first post, look at the foot of the page. Depending on how long the thread, you'll find page numbers. More than six, and it will list the six most recent, plus 'first'. Either way, that's the quickest way to the page which contains the first post.
