I'm certainly open to suggestions. I thought long and hard about it, and 'publish' was the only single word I oculd think of to describe what it is I'm inviting members to do (has to be a single word, or it won't fit on the navigation).

Haha. Yes, I can't think of a better word either, but when I saw that in the navigation it wasn't clear to me what it meant. Once you click on the navigation it's obvious though.

As an aside I'm interested in the birth marriages and deaths section. "Have you got married, had a baby or died recently?" If I get run over by a bus tomorrow I'll make sure to let everyone know from beyond the grave.

Removing the navigation won't stop people who have saved the page as a favourite - the page is still there, even if the navigation isn't. But yes, I'll leave it there for a while at least to allow people to get used to it!

Er, which red stars?! The stars are used in the forums and the various newsfeeds. It's only in the forums that the first star has ever been red (I wanted to highlight bad forum posts more than I want to highlight if someone thinks a news story I've written / published is rubbish )

Incidentally, nearly finished streamlining the events section. It used to be made up of 4 calendars, and posting a new event was always three clicks away. Now any event you want to post details about (be it a talk, a meeting, CPD, or some event you're organising that you think other vets might like to attend), you can post it in one click.

Like it Arlo, but I would leave the option to "add a job" under the current Jobs tab, otherwise you might lose people who have used this method all the time, and set it as a direct link, e.g. recruitment agencies.

I think we should have a thumbs up/down button, what happened to the red stars?
