&lt;p&gt;Most CPD needs sponsorship to subsidise it.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I think there is inevitably a degree of &amp;quot;bias&amp;quot; for most speakers when the Pharma company have a drug relevant to the talk. The degree of that bais will depend upon the personality of that speaker too.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;However most of any talk will not be just about that drug. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;So what makes good quality CPD? &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A speaker that is&amp;nbsp;well respected, suitably and highly qualified in the topic; and not boring to listen to. Or does it matter how qualified? Does it matter to vets if the speaker has a Certificate or Diploma for example?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;An interesting &amp;amp; useful topic.....its always hard to think of ideas for this too.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Nice venue, easy to get to, with good parking.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Good food, free bar&amp;nbsp;and sponored taxi home. &lt;img src="https://www.vetsurgeon.org/emoticons/new/icon_biggrin.png" alt="Big grin" /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Now I&amp;#39;ve written that, it all sounds a bit empirical, as opposed to constructive and helpful.&lt;/p&gt;
