For those that don't know what it is, Twitter is essentially just a system that allows you to share what you are doing / what is happening to you, with other people, as it happens.
The same as a blog

Re: Any twits on here?

Twitter is surely aptly named.

Re: Any twits on here?

Hmm, well I seem to have accumulated 15 followers so far. Thing is, there is no way for me to know if they have read any of my tweets, which makes me wonder whether it is really worth doing it.

Anyway, this is just to let you know that we have a guest twit on tomorrow. Pete Wedderburn will be tweeting direct from the London Vet Show, and his tweets appearing on the home page of the site here.

Meanwhile, I will also be reporting from the show, but using video instead, and posting it on the site after the show.

Will be interesting to hear what any of you think about it. The immediacy of Pete's tweet, vs the later, but more detailed video offering from me.

Re: Any twits on here?

I made an enthusiastic start with tweeting for the practice but struggle to think of anything exciting to say (hence my lack of tweets). Also, I seem to have some slightly scary followers, and I'm not sure of the benefit of prospective clients being in San Francisco etc. This week I will be mostly trying blogging...

Re: Any twits on here?

I am! Under my guise as the 'Petstreet Vet'!

I quite like it but wouldn't do it just for real life, far too dull!

I signed up/registered with Twitter about 6 months ago. Admittedly, I did so because I heard so much about it I thought I was missing out on something. Afterwards, I too realised nothing in my life was really exciting enough for me to share with the rest of the world and so have NEVER tweeted or even read anyone else’s tweets. However, I’m willing to give it a try and will follow your veterinary news headlines . . . as soon as I remember my log-in details!
