Great, and Kate Richardson, after a five hour battle during which I was seriously starting to think it might be easier to turn to a life of crime, I finally cracked it, and 'continue' reading' should now take you to the last post. Fingers crossed.

Ben Walker and Cinzia Gandini - have i fixed the page title banner on your mobiles?! I have been fighting with it for probably 24 hours now, but finally rebuilt the widget in a way that on mobile should make things lay out better, without any overlapping.

Oh, that's odd, I havent changed anything that should have affected the continue reading button, but I will look into that.

Yes but it takes you to the top of the page you were on rather than the last post you read whereas it used to take you directly to the last post read and no scrolling required

I’m still working on it. Been busy rebuilding the job advert creation page for the last few days and now debugging the redesigns. The page title has been proving to be a real pig, but I'm trying a new way to crack the claim cpd button today. Fingers crossed. I've broken the back of it, though.

Yes, thing is I've cloudflare caching, browsers caching, the platform caching ... they're all at it. I do purge the cache on CF all the time, but you're right I should probably version the css, although I havent yet quite got my head round that (whether I am supposed to version the link to the stylesheet, or actually call the stylesheet sheet.css?v1

You aint seen nothing yet. Today, I have completely redesigned and restructured the actual job adverts.

Tell you what, its only when I looked at chatGPTs proposed design that I realised how tired the old one was looking.

I know that more and more people are advertising elsewhere, or doing more word of mouth, but I think there is mileage in helping independent practices look as good as they possibly can.

You're absolutely correct. The tags in the Discussion page are still missing the horizontal spacing that is present in the News page but otherwise the first three images are redundant!

Thanks for sorting the comment levels so quickly.

If you're still changing a lot, it might be worth setting the max-age on your stylesheet to less than 31 days, or to use version control on the stylesheet to force a refresh when the content is changed.

Ben Walker - thank you so much for those ... some of which I think are related to caches on mobile phones needing to expire, because I had seen them and corrected them (and cleared them from my phone). The claim CPD one may still be outstanding on some pages, and thank you for pointing out the threaded multilevel comments dont work on phones. I'll set them to one level now.

Great effort, Arlo Guthrie. If you're working on the mobile experience there's a few layout issues that could use a look:

The page title overlaps with the email updates dropdown. The search icon is site-wide but its position in the page header suggests the feature relates solely to the discussions section.

The tags at the top are visually confusing ("CPD", "Resources & Guidelines", etc). This is also present in the Discussions page above but it is more obvious in News. You use a vertical bar to separate them for your desktop viewers.

The text of "Claim CPD" is wrapping in a way your styling doesn't accommodate.

Sorry for using this comment thread to illustrate this, but multi-level comments on News stories are hard to read.

Sure, you may argue it'll make no difference, but in this chatgpt-driven review, I realised how badly I had been communicating on logged out pages (and the registration page) WHY it is worth joining.

Plus chatGPT is producing a nice contemporary designs which I think convey a little more professionalism and a little less amateur basket-weaving club, hopefully without removing the humanity.

I'm buried under the hood, finding all sorts of ways to improve things.

Added a couple more things to the News section (added to list in OP above), in particular tried to change things to nudge a few more people into commenting under news stories (esp if they arrive not logged in).
