I have used them daily for 3 years and still going on original blade and can get new blades. But only suitable for fine hair - can't clip a lab wiry coat with them.

RE: Clippers

I guess if you use them on farms they're robust, survive being dropped etc?
My experience is that mid-range (eg Andis or Oster) work for a bit before sustaining damage/ needing sent out for repairs (uneconomical); that we have defaulted to cheap clippers that are semi-disposable.
I would like some decent cordless clippers that take a standard blade; we retired all our Oster powerpros when the batteries and battery contacts failed; they were also cylindrical so rolled off tables(!). Was looking at the Aesculap Durati Vet; maybe should look at these ones too, Michael

Our nurses seem to like having their own mini clippers (you know where they are, they're clean, you look after them) and the Arcess ones seem popular, have a ceramic blade so stay sharp longer https://www.amazon.co.uk/ARCESS-Rechargeable-Cordless-Clippers-Grooming/dp/B08PTSSSH5/

RE: Clippers

It depends what you need them for.

Solid, quiet, cordless, powerful. Use from a kitten to a bull. Even if I didn't do farm, I'd still use them. Takes standard A5 blades. Everything available as spares so you can fix them easily yourself. I have at least 10 sets, many coming up to 10 years old and all of them going strong except one pair lost by an assistant........
