I'm looking for photos of eyes with uveitis, foreign body/trauma, herpesvirus and sequestrum. I'm writing a book that covers these subjects, but its intended audience is pet owners.
If you'd like, I'd happily credit you in the book next

RE: Have you got good eye photos for a book?

Last photo needed.
First find whether there's a reason for it. Ie entropion. Some people believe it's FHV-1 related but since most cats are carriers anyway, I'm not convinced.

If it's causing problems, the ideal path is keratectomy with a surgical microscope I'm afraid. Even with a slit lamp alone, it's difficult to know how deep it can be. So removal without the appropriate tools, can be dangerous. And even if you do that, recurrences are frequent.

If the pet owner wants to do nothing of the sort, I believe lubrication might help to some degree.

RE: Have you got good eye photos for a book?

I had a sequestrum in a cat in today - didn't take a photo though... if it's still there in a fortngiht at recheck I can though.

Any tips on dealing with this effectively other than picking at it with a needle and scalpel and scraping it away?
