I'm not sure that would be a significant failing as a tool for recording veterinary or doctor's consultations!

I think potentially it should provide clarity, and thereby reduce the blame game. But it's going to be such a fascinating thing to test.

Actually I was listening to an interview with the founder and he talked about precisely that being a significant benefit that his own wife had identified!

Yes, but it's just recording words, it doesn't know who spoke those words ... I think.

I think for there to be privacy issues in words being sent to google or openai, they would have to be associated with the person that spoke them. I dont think this is the case, but will endeavour to find out.

Your argument is true for a dictaphone, but if you use the transcription or summarisation features then the pendant is sending the audio of the conversations to third party corporations (first to Limitless, then on to Google Gemini or OpenAI according to their privacy policy).

There’s likely to be PII in these conversations. If you wore it at work I think you would need to get consent from those who are being recorded. Perfectly doable though, akin to CCTV notices, perhaps?

I think it’s a great use of AI. I’m interested to see how the product performs!
