I haven't studied it in detail yet, but so far my shortlist is very short indeed, just one, and that is someone I know.

I don't start with 20 and use various criteria to exclude them as I read about them, I start with Zero and add them if they tick the boxes.

Me too, I've read their profile and candidate statement and I've narrowed it down to 3 possibly 4

Certainly not a list this long - think that probably says quite a lot about the RCVS proposal for change. Spoilt for choice, it's given me a new problem - information overload.
