This is an advice note on how to deal with RCVS investigations and can be summarised as:
1. Watch out!
2. Contact VDS
3. Be Polite
4. Contact VDS
5. Don't say or do

Re: RCVS now comes with a health warning

Sorry, I say again, I only requoted the subject post as being the first incidence of some criticism of the RCVS, however indirect.

My point was that vetsurgeon.org, in my view has influenced the RCVS only for good which probably would not have happened otherwise.

VDS recommend you do not allow the RCVS past the waiting room without clearing it with VDS. Hopefully this harps back to a past era when the college was flexing its muscles rather than doing a good job! We would offer a cup of tea or coffee but no more.

Unless someone says differently!!

Re: RCVS now comes with a health warning
Hi Jonathon,

I found the advice concerning too - does this mean that we now need to regard RCVS enquiries in the same way as VAT and tax inspections; as if there wasn't already enough to worry about! Will RCVS need a warrant before being allowed to access veterinary premises? This is all very strange, I wonder if there is anyone on the forum from VDS who could cast a little light?
PS Apparently some of them are ex-police.
Seriously?!

Cheers,

This is the first post, that I can find, which begins to examine the RCVS, even sort of indirectly.

It was posted Sept 2 2009, just to establish the vetsurgeon.org V RCVS timeline.
