[/quote]

Amanda Henry Not quite, but I did go through eighteen years of thinking my child was dying at least once a year. A sort of repeat bereavement, though she has so far always pulled back from the brink.

Anyway, I went to a talk last year given by a sort of neighbour of mine. She's a psychotherapist who specialises in this area.

She's called Julia Samuel. https://juliasamuel.co.uk/

She is also the author of a number of very highly reviewed books, one of which I think might be helpful: https://juliasamuel.co.uk/books/grief-works

I must say, I found her talk very impressive. I also think she comes across as a wonderfully kind, empathetic and good humoured person. Certainly, she is the first person I would pick up the phone to in this situation.

Hope that helps your friend.
