Wasn't it amazing? Not, the 200,000 people queuing for some of the world's worst urinals (lovely word, that).
I mean Cat Stephens, who wrote the soundtrack to my childhood, and Elton, who took over the job in my teens.
To be fair, local tickets sell out just as quickly as the main sale, even if you do live in the right postcodes.

There's only a very, very small area where tickets are guaranteed.
How did you get tickets? I know someone who would like to go next year or the year after.
Make sure they know they have to be registered in advance. On actual sale day it's just a case of persistence, a lot of luck, having your credit card information pre-saved on the website, and being somewhere with fast internet! (Ironically, not rural Somerset)

Yes. And yes. I always love it, but that Elton John show was a once in a lifetime experience. Raye on Saturday was incredible too. Some of the new late night stuff like The Levels is really fun too.

The Crumble Shack is the best late night snack, hands down.

RE: Did anyone go to Glastonbury?

not sure why you think I’d make it up, David, but here you go: BA11 3QZ.

RE: Did anyone go to Glastonbury?
Sadly, my postcode ain’t in the catchment area…
I'll post as soon as I can. I'm actually in Stuttgart at the moment, on the first (and last) leg of my Gadgetman European Tour 2023. https://www.instagram.com/reel/Ct_3JyTIDlF
I was watching it on the TV and have seen some videos saying it's kid friendly.
Yes in the sense of the fact that the whole vibe is very friendly. But it is 200,000 people, and I'm not sure I would have wanted to take a 3 year old to the final concert (when all 200,000 were in one place).

That said, I managed to wheel my daughter's wheelchair in the opposite direction to 200,000 people when the concert ended. So it is doable!
How has the daughter move out gone?
Hard to imagine it going any better, thank you for asking. The residential care home she has moved to has been A-mazing (run by these guys: https://www.consensussupport.com). Actually she got ill within a few weeks of arriving and needed hospitalising. And guess what, the care home stationed someone by her bed 24/7 for a month. A really staggering level of commitment, which blew me away.

Plus we've been lucky to have been absolved of guilt. There's no sense that she misses home, or doesn't want to be there. We visit very regularly, and it works well for all of us.

So now, for the first time, my wife and I a free to leave the building. Hence we've just got back from a few days in Mykonos. I'm now outside Stuttgart and later in the year, we'll be off to California!

Hi Hilary Warner - very sweetly, the organisers gave one to my disabled daughter and another two for her carers free of charge, plus we, her parents, were allowed to buy two tickets.
