Of necessity, pets must be a lower priority in a war, but I imagine there must be groups working to relocate/care for pets within Ukraine.

They are also always looking for volunteers (vets and vet nurses) who support pet owners, individuals rescuing animals and rescue organisations with advice, supported by a team of Ukrainian speakers and also VetCT. They are a lovely group of people (I know them because they have also helped me to organise a mental health support campaign for Ukrainian vets), so please check them out :-)

RE: Abandoned pets in Ukraine- what support?

Hi Lisa! https://vetsforukraine.com/i-want-to-help/ is list of organizations organizing and sorting donations and help from overseas - Poland is very active, Jerzy Gawor the veterinary dental expert is coordinating there, but also several UK organizations and individuals doing stuff.
