I am a small animal GP vet with 25 years experience.
I am looking for a change in direction and I feel that setting myself up as a locum is where I now want to go.
I would really appreciate any advice or pointers as to where to look for

RE: Setting up as a locum

Self Employed works

Likewise a zero hours contract with IVC, CVS and the others also works, just make sure you set a fee accordingly, but they do give holiday pay and a pension

These are the easiest

Ltd Company, I don't think this is really an option any more

Yes the British Veterinary Locum Association facebook group does have good information.

You'll get inundated with locum agency requests if you reach out to them, these are a good starting point and I still use an excellent local one to me (Bristol)

Be reasonable with your pricing and you should get work when and where you want it. If you're 25 years qualified, hopefully you're in it for the lifestyle rather than the money. You'll also find practices that you like are more likely to want you back.
