Not entirely true - candidates gain experience, develop name recognition and if elected, a padded CV ;)

To my mind, his cause wasn't interesting or worthwhile or even funny enough to justify the wasted attention.

Couldn't agree more.

One thing I have been more alert to this year because of my own small screen efforts, is the difficulty in producing a good piece to camera. It's so much harder that people realise. Everything from scriptwriting so as to keep people's attention, to lighting, sound and most importantly presentation (amazing how much of a difference it makes when someone is talking straight to camera, using an autocue, than reading off a script placed above or to the side of the screen).

Julian, look for something from an address of vetvotes@cesvotes.com - that’s the link to the online voting site in that email, and a lot of people said it went straight to junk - at worst if you contact the College I’m sure they can send out a duplicate. And thank you again for the support.
I’ll leave you to sort out the strange Mr Buffett… :)

Sorry but have I somehow missed these? I have not seen any candidate's video nor a single statement and feel I am missing out? Nothing in the record yet as far as I am aware, nor any e-mails from the RCVS either. Now what? Thank you!

I don't miss the RMB drivel either. I don't think the available candidates should be criticised for presenting themselves; they all seem credible. If there aren't any candidates from the sectors you'd like, that's unfortunate, but you could always put yourself forward too! It's a massive commitment in terms of time and effort for no gain.

I mostly agree. Mental health is still the main subject in most of candidate's video (only one has no video), followed by what they call the "recruitment crisis"

I'm not missing the lets-meat-raw-and-go-back-to-the-cavern candidate, phew!

9 men, 4 women, most SA orientated, one independent, one not sure if he's running for a RCVS seat or the presidency of the USA (actually, I envy his knowledge in technology). There are more than other years, which is good.

I did vote for one only
