No it wasn't Clive but his was the "Last Post" in my catch-up of this thread - and my irritation was more of a shotgun blast at all and sundry (with perhaps a couple who tend to be more preachy than others in the mix). I agree though that it comes across as a proper Grumpy Old Man post - though the essence of it does reflect my take on things (coloured by current stagnation in the housing department at Cooper's Quarters, which is resulting in extensive chewing of the woodwork... ... ... ...). Apologies proffered!

Er, George Cooper, isnt it interesting how the written word is SO subjective. I was following that thread, and it looked like you were having a pop at Clive Ansell for 'sermonising' (that was who your post was marked as replying to, though you might have been having a pop at someone else!). Anyway, I read Clive's post as not remotely sermonising or preachy, so I was a bit nonplussed by your irritation.

I’m aware that some of us have views that things not so good and we on Titanic while the band played on and some of the opinion that this crisis is either not serious or that a solution will be found. Tempers probably going to flare occasionally but as you are well known and respected for your opinion but who also has views on subjects some may find uncomfortable, having a bad day??

I've not been in 'THAT' debate but as a podcaster, I was looking into 'The winning tactics' and a public speaker was a guest and said: When I finally had haters, I went to my team and said 'We're done it!'. If the debate is polarising enough to gain haters, it means the message is worth communicating.

Hence! Doing this and leaving might just fuel what you think you're getting rid of!
