Thank you Eamon. My signs are ertainly fatigue but no rash. At leat my V snd D hsas stopped, which counts for a lot!

My medication for the depression has been rudely interrupted causing a severe relapse of depression I am afraid. Being vet, I am fully aware of people feeling this low or worse and taking their own life but I have said for ages I am glad not to be in practice now, so am away from the Euthatal and other barbiturates in case my resolve completely crumbles!! I just could not inflict this on my beloved wife Annika nor my son, and not my sister who lost her husband Chris to thyroid cancer some months ago! I love them all too much for that! Plus I have unfinished business on my bike, races to do and hopefully prizes to win??! = OR IS this an inappropriate emoji here?? Even the idea of the S-word is upsetting to me t.b.h!

Thank you all on here and elsewhere for support in the last few years inn fact!!

RE: Clarithromycin?

I was given Clarithromycin but had to stop taking it due to general malaise and a skin rash.

RE: Clarithromycin?
t is prescribed when they suspect atypical infections - the classic one is 'walking pneumonia' which is I believe a mycoplasma pneumonia that is diagnosed on radiographs rather than anything else - the trigger for the radiograph is respiratory signs with fever that lasts some weeks with an associated fever and poor or no response to first choice antibiotics.
Thanks Stephen. i almost fit nto that description: unlateral pneumonia ofunknown origin! But we believed that I reacted so badly to the iv amoxy/clav that they needed to change and this is what the consultant chose. So far so good re. side effects I think? Touches-wood hastily!!
