Thank you Joyce.., I know that you are all correct here on the take-it-easy advice but Leopards and spots IYSWIM? come to mind!. The only stressor is that there might be no more events at all tihsyear. I feel lke a cheat or something if I win this Series based solely on my one victory in May? But hey-ho, THE true National championship is always set on a single day so why not? I did finish 5th in tis Series one the year of 2019; , again! so was not too far off the mark there in any case? I am telling myself that the one Series event at Wymondham in effect proved to be my own personal National championship ? = Everything focused on a good result for that day! Mission accomplished I think?? All I can do is ride and beat others who turn up, which I did!

Four daysin hospital last eek was not best preparation for more races anyway!

Thank you Kath, Yes I am home again which is a huge relief. I am far from 100% right yet but should gradually improve now. Surprisingly I was not given any instructions on what I should eat? Ne need for a light diet as we end to recommend for dogs or cats but this seems to have been okay so far, ie within my first 24 hours back at home. I cannot risk going out training again yet and probably not for a short while? zThe indoor turbo-trainer or torture machine beckons first I think!

P.S an edit. Kath I have no access to the internet in hospital so if I am on the site, then I must be at home!

Sorry to read this Julian. I hope that you are feeling better. Are you out of hospital now? It sounds as if you are. It must be very frustrating for you, especially from your cycle training point of view but your full recovery is what really matters at the moment. Best wishes for your continued recovery and with the follow up xrays. Keep us updated please.

Thanks Jjill, i shall domy best but it has been a year-long target and now being in the lead I have been looking forward to the conclusion! It has been a difficult year on several counts so hope for a better year in 2022! No choice at the moment but that?

Oh dear, just take it easy Julian and try to recover without stressing about the event
