thanks. i think you advised me that before. i'll have to learn how to use youtube, but there's a 7 year old in clinic at moment so i should be ok.

good tip re the "unlisted" option.

Hi Beats I usually recommend that everyone uploads videos to YouTube, which is by far the best platform, and then insert the file into the forum here (when typing your post / reply, click the 'insert' link, then image/video/file., then enter the url of the youtube page with your video). When you upload your video, if you only want it found here in the forums, set it to 'unlisted'.

As far as I know, youtube accepts .mov and pretty much anything else too.

OK, so converting it to MP4 with VLC and then seslecting "for Youtube SD" and clicking on the video codec and changing it to lower pixel sizes seems to have worked OK - got down to 41MB, then recorded in 2 x halves using VLC and posted separately.

I'm sure there are better easier ways though!
