Now I understand why the "disagree" button should be deleted! If someone disagrees [and anonymously], not that that, per se really matters].

What is their point as this "disagreement" is the helpful bit!

Of course the Idexx response is really going to help Idexx sales and someone at Idexx is going to have to fix the bleeding thing sooner or later anyway!

Thanks guys, I've looked at options and have had to go for the maintenance contract, very very grudgingly! It appears they have a similar set up to Apple, where noone can buy parts for repair etc, it's a totally monopolised situation, and I don't feel it's fair on the consumer, but they seem to have me over a barrel.

Having paid for the maintenance contract, however, I will be making sure they get called out for the slightest issue- no more telling us to "watch the video and replace the lockbar," as we have been specifically told that we are "not allowed" to touch it....

Sorry Julie I can't help but this is exactly the reason why I didn't want to work with Idexx, long contracts on silly terms. Unfortunately it is the norm for many companies.

I think you need to get some information on your rights as to me it doesn't sound like it is 'fit for purpose' and I'm not sure the legalities of forcing you to take only one option provided by themselves.
