Thank you, I unzipped the file with some IT assistance but will try the you tube way next time.

You cant insert videos in a zip file! That's why it is not recognising the file as a video - it is just seeing a zip file, which can be anything.

Ideally, to share a video, you should upload it to youtube, and mark it unlisted so it doesn't come up in search results on youtube or elsewhere and will only be found by people with the unique url for the video. The reason I suggest that is that youtube has almost infinite file storage space and bandwidth, which we don't.

You CAN upload here if you really want, but in my experience it just works better on YouTube.

Either way, to share a video here is to click the menu item marked 'insert' when you create or edit a post.

Then if you have uploaded to Youtube, keep 'From Web/URl' and then enter the youtube link below.

If you want to upload to the site, first make sure the file is unzipped and is an actual film file (ie .mov file type). Then select 'file upload' instead of 'From Web/Url' and select the unzipped file from your computer.
