Muggins here has bought a new rice cooker for my wife.
Came from eBay of course but it is all in Korean! No sign of an operating instruction manual except in Korean!! Other machines have manuals and

RE: A real non-vet challenge in Korean!

Only wimps read the instructions.

RE: A real non-vet challenge in Korean!

Did 'satisfactory' rice last night so forgiven for the time being. A partner that has been furloughed for 95% of the getting on for a year is quite easy to wind up intentionally or not. (Everyone should watch 'Staged' on iPlayer. It cheered me up big time!)

She needs to get out into her greenhouse but the heater has been misplaced now!

My wife is Thai and rice is an every day part of life. It is like someone drinking "Scotch" compared to a connoisseur drinking malts!! I admit it pretty much tastes the same to me. In Asian countries rice cooking is an art.

When I cook the wrong type of rice I am in trouble (I like basmati rice!!). The rice cooker is a focal point and I have tried the £10 cooker route before. On/Off buttons are just not good enough nor is the 1 cup rice to 1 cup water.

Now a bit of an admission! I took the cooker home and although the instruction book is only in Korean, the cooker is in Chinese not Korean. Thankfully that is not an issue for my wife.

RE: A real non-vet challenge in Korean!

Google translates from pictures.
