Metacam Made in Brazil so we have had no BI Metacam here in Australia for months other than the 100ml and chews as not popular so they had supplies here still. We have been using Decra Meloxicam as less GI issues than another generic we used but when I myself went to use the syringe on it the other day to aspirate out 0.2ml in the 1ml syringe to tied a client over until they could get in for drug recheck 48hrs later-I was not impressed. No way could I convince myself that the liquid was uniform in each syringe as one much clearer than the other despite pre-aspiration shake and settle action.

Loxicom comes with 2 syringes. Clear bottle. Good pricing. Stable supply via our buying group but there have been some general issues - I believe

Inflacam - the box contains both sizes of syringes so you need to make sure the excess one is removed. Also the bottle has a clear area so clients can roughly tell how much is left - not sure if it will decrease the emergency running out though. Chris has summarised the supply issues - apparently all meloxicam is made in one factory in Mexico that was badly hit with COVID.

My understanding is that they're all difficult to get hold of at the moment, which tends to be the case for two reasons - 1. If it's an API issue, the source of the API is often the same for multiple brands and 2. a brand with a big market share going out means people by other brands and they also go OOS. Last time I checked Loxicom also came with two syringes, can't speak for Meloxidyl.
