Money talks. A number of new 'business models' were coming along with vociferous advocates to allow them to get their snouts in the trough.

Animal welfare was not part of the big plan.

The vast majority in the profession do care deeply about patient welfare and a minority are looking for a way to make profit almost at any cost.

Fingers crossed the powerful players are silenced but I still fear they are going to wait for another break.

Thing that caught my eye was the College saying that previous surveys of the profession had shown no safety concerns with remote prescribing. When Nockolds were reporting an increase in client complaints surrounding remote prescribing (https://www.vetsurgeon.org/news/b/veterinary-news/posts/nockolds-reports-100-increase-in-complaints-surrounding-remote-prescriptions), that seems strange to me.
