Yes - let me think how i incorporate that next month.
My other comment would be that the title of the email is about the heatstroke study. Would it be worth making the title about the exciting new expert forums? As the heatstroke title doesn’t indicate a lot about the forum, more just another headline from the vet press which might then be deleted.
The first challenge with any email is to get people to open it. So each month, I am guided by the page impressions and previous experience as to what will be get the largest numbers of opens. We use a system which allows me to test two headlines, and I am currently taking one news headline and one expert help headline to see which wins. That was the winning headline. The good thing, though, is that to get to the story, readers have to scroll past the section about with the expert help forum topics, so my hope is that if they (you) see something more compelling on the way down ...

RE: VetSurgeon Newsletter

I’ve just had another look. Where you have the heading of Expert Help Forums, would it be worth adding in “no question too simple”? Just that reading it, some people may be daunted by asking an expert, if they haven’t been to the forum before.

My other comment would be that the title of the email is about the heatstroke study. Would it be worth making the title about the exciting new expert forums?
Although the open and click rates don't seem to support my argument (!), it strikes me that a question is more compelling/interesting than a headline or statement (of course it does depend on the headline). By which I mean, we're all interested in a question, either because we know the answer or because we want to know what the answer is.

Do you agree (everyone)? I think what we all need to do is think harder about framing forum thread titles, especially expert help ones as a question, with a question mark at the end!

I think that will not only draw more people in, but also lends itself more to sharing threads elsewhere (using the button at the top of the thread), with people who might know the answer.

RE: VetSurgeon Newsletter

I think it looks good, a nice snippet of the things to find on the site.
