We now know that working from home can be efficient and effective so will the number of staff at headquarters really need to increase or can it be better managed in the future to prevent the need for bigger premises?

Poor responses from Dr Connell IMO. No imagination, just the same old party line. We all work through refurbishments, we just make it work! Moving because the lifts need to be replaced or the air con does not work properly seems a poor excuse.

If there a whistle blowers within the system then let them whistle as loud as they like! A bit of open governance will be a breath of fresh air.

If there is money for barristers and private detectives then the Royal College has too much money to burn.

RE: RCVS AGM, 2020?
I am going to be a bit ageist and say one of the best thing about Dr Greene is her age!!
I believe she is the youngest ever RCVS president as well Bob!

Mandisa will be an amazing president, and I speak as a friend and colleague. She has great integrity and is clever, charming, gracious, erudite.... the list goes on. Watching her investiture with her sons placing their home-made chains of office around her neck brought a tear to my eye.

RE: RCVS AGM, 2020?

I voted for her because she sounded like the right candidate. Not bothered by colour or gender. It sounded as if she was willing to put the profession first rather than be influenced by 'corporate' interests.

Dr Greene really has her work cut out if she is to prevent the demise of the profession as we know it.

There is a pet insurance company offering free remote consultations and distant POM-V prescribing already. Nobody in their right minds can see that as a good idea!
