I am emphasising the need for cases to be interesting, and not just 'vet saves dog'

Me neither. There's a scourge of them these days ... I now get at least one email a week from someone asking me to share their survey, or if they can share it in the forums, for which I have a new answer, which is 'no'! But I do invite them to send me some details about themselves, and their work and a commitment to sharing the results, and if I think it looks interesting, I publish it as a news story instead.

Nicola Cole thank you - very helpful. In truth, I am not entirely sure what I wanted description to include, because I'm not a vet! But really, I guess I would rather have no description / points of interest, because that requires someone to have to think. Far better to have a more specific form.

So:

Species/Breed/Age

Presenting signs

Investigations

Diagnosis

Cost

Prognosis

(not sure about the latter two - suspect there may be resistance to publishing even a ballpark cost. And as for prognosis, you're not going to upload a case with a prognosis of: "Despite the £10K we spent on this 18 year old cat, we don't give it much more than a week to live" )

Personally I’d also like:

-Presenting signs

-Investigations (not sure if you’re meaning to include this in ‘diagnosis’ or whether you just mean name of the condition in diagnosis.

-Treatment

I’m not sure whether you meant ‘Short description’ to include the above-....
