I would definitely tell your daughter to get a different vet to filll in the certificate, you'll be in trouble if someone picks up on it and may lose OV status. A former boss was banned from TB testing temporarily because he tested his cousin's herd. Don't think he saw it as punishment though as we assistants just had to do all the testing instead....

The new export certificates that may or may not be necessary from next week, and that come in English or in the language of EU entry. We opted for French. Maybe we’ve been lax with conflict of interest. We’ve never been asked about it at the borders and have taken our dogs across many times.

Some of you must have filled one in? Did you have the titre sentence?

My understanding gives 2 issues:

you shouldn't certify your daughter

These only come into play if we leave EU with no deal, no one knows as yet what is happening

And I have to agree that RCVS advice is that you should not do anything which might give rise to an accusation of a conflict of interest, ie. certifying something for a close member of your family

But this does not detract from the point that DEFRA have issued a deficient form, have provided an inaccurate phone number, and have not adequately responded to a professional query

I know it's frustrating, however if the client is your daughter, surely this goes against the principles of certification? For EHC/Pet Passports I was under the impression a vet couldn't certify something like this for a family member.
