Always done the spread the pages and stamp them but never the fold the stapled corner over and stamp!

Is it new? I was doing cattle export forms that way for years, 6+ years ago. I must have been told to do it like that as I doubt I'd come up with it on my own.

Staple the corner. Spread the pages and stamp across the different pages. So far, so good!

Fold the corners at the staples to a different height to form a mini-fan then stamp that!!!!

A real work of art!

Under how to complete a certificate, subsection fan stamping.

I must have completed hundreds of these over the years and never learned this little trick of origami.

Not had one rejected not had a complaint from MAFF/DEFRA/APHA/Heathrow/US/Australian/New Zealand/Hong Kong authorities or anyone else.

Got to be worth £100 to have picked up that little nugget of information.

I've had several emails, and if you login to the Improve OV website https://www.improve-ov.com/home/ it will tell you.

How do you know if it is time to revalidate?? I did it a few years ago now...

I'm not going to bother revalidating anyway- too much hassle, and I hate the paperwork!

Well I tossed and turned and decided that George Osbourne was probably right ,not perfect but the status quo was better for business. Farage et al conned a lot of people so your forgiven. I think it was the Turkey leaflets that did it around here. I still think nothing much will change and there will be a last minute fudge. She forgives everyone too.

Yes it is thank you, what a monumental ball ache it is ,still filling the old coffers at improve again with another set of clerical hoops to jump through. We have had several clients kicking off about Brexit issues already, I think my wife put her foot in it with one client when she announced "well I am not one of the retards that voted for it so stop shouting at me please". Kind of enjoy the irony myself as 70%+ of our clients voted Brexit and are now whinging their faces off.

I’m sure you’ve all read the numerous AHPA update emails we get bombarded with ... but in case any colleagues haven’t ...if you are doing the Improve OV revalidation course an RVN can now invigilate when you do the final online exam .... doesn’t have to be a vet.

All you need is OCQ(V) - CA, this will allow you to do all small animal exports, both pet passports and export certificates.

I've been getting all a bit confused with this, and to be honest so busy at work and moving house I haven't really paid it much attention.

All I need is to be able to complete pet passports. Which modules do I need as a bare minimum? Is there a separate one required for EHICs to listed third countries?

So far it seems to be more of an exercise in spot the date mistake, spot the missing signature.

Over the years I have completed hundreds, possibly thousands of export certificates and only had one go wrong because the importer had written the wrong postcode and therefore the address was wrong. I would not have fallen foul of the principles of certification on this one.

Only thing learned so far is they are recommending a different way of marking 'fan folded' certificates. That has to be worth £100??

Since when has spotting other peoples goofs been part of an OV duties? That is what VO's are for.

Yes Arlo ... I’m having to answer questions about things I haven’t even thought about since I qualified 24 years ago!

I think I’ll do the actual test on 29th March .. with a vet friend having to come round my house to drink tea and watch me do it online ...

just to see if the next day all my answers relating to Pet Passports are wrong :)

I believe you don't need to revalidate OV-ES (Essential skills) if you are only planning to do pet exports/passports.

I was also sceptical but the course has highlighted some 'common errors' that I would have been capable of making.
