[/quote]It is likely that the dog's titre will have fallen below 0.5iu/ml if they were last vaccinated a year or more ago and anyway I think that they would have to have another rabies vaccine and be blood tested after one month to comply.

It doesn't bother me because unless they change the rules I will not be renewing my OV status come March.

We have advised people that if they wish to prepare for 'the worst' - if they must be able to travel soon following whatever type of brexit happens - that they should do the blood test (having if necessary boosted the rabies vaccination prior if it was given a long while ago). No have so far taken us up, but if the proverbial hits the fan we have at least warned them.

Yes I read it and must say it is hard going, even following the Links. I think the issue is that in the (I think remote) circumstance that we are not a listed country post Brexit that any animal in Europe on a passport could be stuck there till it has rabies blood testing done.

We have one client who travels regularly to Switzerland with various of her dogs, and she is going to have them rabies titre tested just in case, as she may be there around that time, and doesn’t want to risk either not being able to go or not being able to get back.
