We do a number of courses but one thing we lack are good 3D models of bees.
I thought it would be the easiest thing to find them! Ideally a queen, worker and drone. Not the case at

RE: Wanted - Bee model

I know nothing about 3D printing but does anyone know if these come out looking as in the image or do they need painting?

The training makes money therefore this sort of money is not really out of the question (subject to infighting etc) especially as one could be purchased each year to make up a set of worker, queen, drone.

I had seen this site and they are amazing but I suspect the politics will cause me to walk away.

Thanks

3D printing is available but I doubt anyone will agree with anyone else so I am backing out for the time bee ing.

Thanks for the ideas!!

Take a look: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2352705 If you think it's reasonable you could get it printed by a commercial online 3D print company - it might be slightly more expensive than you expect, however - the cheapest automatic quote I got from www.shapeways.com is $100.

I *might* be able to print it for you, but it's not an easy file - it needs slicing up to print in parts and reconstructing, then finishing and painting depending on the final quality and surface finish you need!

RE: Wanted - Bee model

CONtact John Hill British Bee vets
