I did not like much of the Nick Stace attitude that seemed to treat the profession as tradesmen and the customer always right. At least that was the impression I got.

Similarly i took exception to the RCVS actively promoting PSS practices to the detriment of the many that have chosen not to participate.

Really have to say I am neutral on their mindset again. I don't bother them, they don't bother me!

RE: RCVS mind set

I (happily!) have not had much dealings with the RCVS, but recently had to a letter regarding a claim against me and two other vets, which was to do with a cruelty case that resulted in the prosecution of the aggrieved. The RCVS reported to me that they had investigated it and found there to be no case to answer, so had closed the case. They sent a copy of the letter they had received from the loony complainer, and a copy of the letter they had sent back. After reading horror stories about the RCVS, I was surprised at how supportive they were of us all, even stating that a vet must put animal welfare before client confidentiality, which they have always been a bit vague on before.

Just my (solitary) experience, but thought it might help to balance up some of the other bad experiences
