Just got back, it was great fun!

There was plenty of choice of activities, run in three streams, so you could chose one theme, or mix and match. The sporty types went running/cycling/circuit training, there was a yoga and meditation stream, which I love as it's so relaxing, and finally there was a workshop stream with interesting sessions on mindfulness, lots of tips on how to manage stress, with useful science based techniques given by motivational and inspirational speakers.

And yes, there was boozing, dancing and a hangover if that is your favourite way to relax, too!

I met up at Girton for a bike ride organised as part of the Wellvet weekend yesterday and had a great time cycling with a group of happy, motivated vets who were there because they are friendly and fun people.

I hadn't booked for the whole event but there were several activities on the go when we arrived back to the HQ and a general buzz of energy and enthusiasm.

Looks to me like a great way to spend a weekend.

It needs a better name. I'd go to AVS for vets. Wellvet makes me imagine people sat around in a circle complaining how hard life is.....

Pissedvet? I'd go to that.

Wanted to do it but working tomorrow :-/ I'll have to settle by cycling 3 miles to work.
