That's it. But I got a set of two, one like this and one a bit smaller, good for cats and terriers.

The cover zips off (but I don't know why you would want to) and there are velcro securing straps which we never use.

Ah. It seems that Eickemeyer have them now. In no less than three sizes. Check 'em out under "ultrasound."

What a pity. I don't like that firm. But it's personal.

Ah, they are covered in nicely fitted impervious material.

They are red, apparently the traditional colour for anything ultrasound.

Maybe I can get round to sending a photograph.

The only ones I can find on line are from an Australian veterinary supplier (ATX vet supplies) but there must be something similar available in the UK. I will continue to search.

Do what our nurses do for our sandbags - wrap in thick plastic ( cremation bags work well) and presto, wipe clean and cheap to redo, soft and durable!

E.g. A quick and ready quote from these would be about £30 a cradle.

I'd be interested in these too. If EBH could send measurements of a diagram and enough people were interested (I would be) the price would come down.

One question though, how to keep clean?

I can't remember...... I think it was one of the barrow-boy suppliers, JAK or Vet Direct, but I'm not certain.

I can tell you it wasn't Eickemeyer!

I like to use a V top table and pad according to patient (tilt table if laparoscopic surgery is ever likely in the practice) but the vaccuum bags are also very effective if used appropriately!

Not personally - it has always been something that I've thought about. I have spoken to colleagues who have reported a two separate cases ex lap waking up with spinal paresis. Something I want to look into but haven't had time!

Redmark ones are good and I prefer the shape to the ones from Eickermeyer/JAK. Our fibreglass cradle is probably stronger (but not radiolucent) but they've lasted 12yrs+
