I have recently come across a new word "Kyriarchy", first coined by Romanian-born German feminist Roman Catholic theologian Elisabeth Schüssler

RE: Forum post trigger warnings

J G Wray gooooood morning.

If I stop to think of the three main things which (as I have mentioned earlier), I think we need to address in these forums, the first could be summarised as 'be kind'.

The second, I think, could be summarised as 'be clear'.

It is SO important that when sharing our thoughts etc, we do it with consideration for the reader and try and ensure we express ourselves as clearly and succinctly (I need to work on this too) as possible, so that readers can understand the point we are trying to make as quickly as possible.

Otherwise readers will just be forgiven for thinking: "I can't be bothered with this."

This goes as much for the content of our posts, as how we title them.

You titled this one with: "Sex".

I've got nothing against sex per se, or the discussion of it. But as a title for this thread, it sucks! In another context, it would be called 'clickbait'.

I have re-titled your thread with something clearer.

As regards your point, I don't think the idea will catch on here (prefacing discussion titles with trigger warnings).
