Having completed A and B modules I’m trying to decide on C modules with a view to taking the extra exam at the end. However I am torn between the small animal medicine modules, or the dermatology ones.

I did the Medicine C modules through Liveprool. As Michael said, you can do the three Medicine ones (A,B,C) and your fourth could then be the derm intro module. Once you've done that, then add in the other derm ones and you're double certified!

I'm going to be doing the cardiology ones starting in September to add to mine. The C modules are much better than the A and B modules, but I did find by the time I was getting to the end of my 4th C module I just wanted it to be over!

RE: CertAVP - Small animal medicine or dermatology?

You do make a good point in that doing two designations are possible and would only take 2 extra modules. You need 4 C modules and only 3 need to be in a specific subject for a designated cert. My advice would be do the most interesting sounding derm and the most interesting sounding medicine module and then decide. You can always go on and do both and have 2 designations.
