I don't give a toss who 'relates physically' and in whichever manner they chose. I do care about them having the freedom to do whatever they like to who(m?)ever they like as long as it is legal and consensual. Even the legality may be blurred on occasions!!

The choice to be 'out' or whatever the opposite is is a matter for the individual.

Not sure what the point is regarding Ms May and her leather trousers. Nor sure why it is relevant to VetSurgeon or even Brexit.

Got a bit scary yesterday to find that my Amazon purchases are appearing on my wife's Facebook account! She questioned me very closely on why I needed so many reams of A4 paper!

This is an offshoot of the Brexit thread. We are talking about tracking and sharing personal data. The intrusion of companies like google and VS in our lives. This won't go away once Brexit is resolved, it's bigger than that.

It'd be a lot nicer if we didn't reduce sexual orientation to just 'shag', there is a lot more to it than that. But coming back to the point, in 2018 you can be sexually attracted to whoever you want (legally) in the Western countries, not in Pakistan, where the threat to Shah's family becomes a problem.

Shah was outed by Theresa May's office as gay which puts his family at risk.

He is one of the 2 whistleblowers who linked the two illegally coordinated Leave campaigns to Cambridge Analytica. And he was allegedly outed (a private sexual matter made public by the government) because of precisely this issue.

I don't know anything with more relevance than this to the title of this post.

Unless you are a Brexiterer by emotion only, of course.

I rose to the bait and did it, but it's really noting that surprises me. I'm very careful what I put on the internet but realise that there is always an element of information gathering. I have some hobbies and interests that I have never mentioned on the internet.

I'm wise enough to realise this happens and I'm not especially bothered by it. I used to find it odd how I could google something then be inundated by adverts on Facebook, Instagram etc but not bothered now. Can easily ignore them.

If anything the information gathering and targeting makes for a better experience IMO. Nothing to be scared of.

No, not really. Propaganda now is more obvious than ever. BBC : we know what it stands for RT: we know what it stands for, Fox News: we all know what it stands for, and so forth. BBC reports the people killed by Assad, RT reports the collateral damage caused by USA and how the rebels were funded. None are lying but both are propaganda tools.

Facebook has 270 millions fake accounts, how many of them are used for propaganda by various states or groups?

Actually I find the BBC to be very biased - the accepted politically correct middle class slightly left of centre on 'human right' issues with tendency to lace reports with unnecessary adjectives like 'evil', 'despotic', a tendency to claim a moral high ground before facts are established (Cliff Richard springs to mind), lots of reporting of 'opinions' or 'reactions to..' and behaving as though Mr Geldof's (insert your favourite celebrity) comments on some political event are actually important, a tendency to impose 'British' values (ie well off, well educated, never starved a day in their life, Western European, must reason with a 3 year old who is having a tantrum/ the guy trying to rob/kill you is really a nice misunderstood individual who needs time and money spent on the understanding the perpetrator), get excited by trivial situations whereas in other parts of the world survival is more important than a politically correct employment policy.

There is also a considerable amount of world news that doesn't get reported (inconvenient/ unpalatable?) which is in effect censorship and keeps us in our little cocoon that all is well out there.

Makes British tourists very easy targets when travelling outside the UK as they genuinely do not understand that other people may have a different opinion or agenda that may not be benign.
