&lt;p&gt;On the flipside, it dawned on me only when I was completely blinded by something or other how there is an entire cosmetic/fashion/foundation garment industry bent on disguising, errr, &amp;quot;blemishes&amp;quot;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Anecdotally the reason a large proportion of new grads are single is because they have either been very focused on studies (and never got into a relationship), or separated due to a desire to work in different locations of the UK/the world.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The swiping isn&amp;#39;t exactly how you form the relationship, that&amp;#39;s a vehicle to actually meeting people (especially if you have no time do so out of work). I&amp;#39;ve never actually used online dating, so maybe that&amp;#39;s the problem (or it&amp;#39;s just me...lol).
