Phil,

I think that you will find that a homeopathic demonstration is more potent if less people participate. If no one had turned up a very dangerous situation resulting in the downfall of democracy could have occurred :)

I wrote to Vet Times about one of Geoff Johnson's claimed homeopathic cures for cancer, and put a blog post about it here - https://rationalvetmed.net/2017/05/24/a-cure-for-cancer/

Needless to say the conventional medication, with known anti-cancer properties, which was given at the same time as the homeopathy was air-brushed out of the account on the BAHVS website. After I wrote to them they grudgingly included the acronym NSAID but omitted to explain its significance.

Since I wrote the letter they have been strangely reluctant to let me have the full histories of the other supposed homeopathic cures for cancer - almost as if they had something to hide!

Any others?

Shouldn't we be concentrating on a rational, scientific, logical, debunking of every documented "successful" case if it is published, as it is published?

For all the much touted protests I've seen on my Facebook feed it was a rather sad turnout today. Think our practice could have managed more on a practice day out.

I was sent a link today by a client for a webinar. Will be performed by 2 homeopaths advising on a "mindful & scientific basis for making decisions about my pets health"

I laughed, a lot! Then felt a little upset that I obviously hadn't made my opinions clear enough that they thought I'd be interested. Can I complain for trade description about the webinar subject description? Scientific?!?

Well, joking aside, this minuscule turnout of vets shows what poor support there is for reversing the rcvs position statement, which in itself did not even ban homeopathy! I should think that the rcvs were mightily relieved if somewhat embarrassed.

At least we now know what the response to a total ban will be, once the VMD has pulled its finger out.

Just imagine the memories in that rain water! Should be enough to rid the world of all illness a million times over.

Do these people not realise just how silly the idea of homoeopathy is? Take something, mix it in a swimming pool of water then take a bit of that and mix it in a second swimming pool then take a jump into the water. Cures all ills!
