. The Lymphoma talk on Friday afternoon was DIRE though.
Who was the speaker?! It's the first year I've missed the LVS.
Andy Torrance. The title of the talk was 'Lymphoma in companion animals - the diagnostic and prognostic revolution'

It was an hour of very wordy slides, huge amount of detail about the subtyping of lymphomas and the different stains available, and entirely on cytology. No information on much above the cellular level, not talking about treatments or general approaches to lymphoma.

Probably my fault for not picking up it was a cytologist talking, but really didn't enjoy it.

I found the lectures better than BSAVA congress, which I feel are more aimed at new grads, but some things were a little basic for me (but that may be due to just finishing a cert).

RE: London Vet Show
For me, the list was:

C- Reactive Protein can be useful but not as a one off, for measuring trends to determine when to finish treatment

Don't use dexamethasone in dogs in an Addisonian crisis, as it has no mineralocorticoid activity at all and there is likely to be some GI pathology going on.
