I don't want people to be able to instantly communicate with me about work at any hour. I want to work hard when I'm at work, and as much as possible leave it behind when I go home. I don't want it to become normal for people to be communicating with me about work at every hour of the day. There will of course be times when someone needs to get hold of me, for example a change of shift because someone is off sick, and I'm not going to ignore a phone call, text message or email.

Probably because there's a retention issue in the profession and most prospective employees will from the "millenial" generation? (considering millenials are those born between the early 80's and early 00's)

Have you not communicated with your wife thus shortly after marriage? Maybe that's where I went wrong. Especially when Sat on the sofa next to me.
